This image shows superior and inferior views of the right clavicle.  The clavicle is a small, simple bone that articulates with the acromion process of the scapula and the manubrium of the sternum.  The sternal end of the clavicle is somewhat rounded while the acromial end that articulates with the scapula is flattened.  The superior surface of the clavicle is smooth, while the inferior surface contains a prominent ridge.
