This image shows some of the major organs in the cat digestive system.   The role of the liver in digestion was described in the previous image.  The pancreas is a long, thin triangular-shaped gland that produces some of the most potent digestive enzymes.  These enzymes are transported via ducts to the duodenum where they carry out their functions.
