"Big Daddy" Catfish

Although the Blue Catfish is not known to my region of the world (La Crosse, WI), there are multiple othe species of Catfish that are. Even though the Blue Catfish resides in a completely different part of the United States as its cousins, they are all quite similar with only minor differences in appearence and behavior. And for those of you wondering why the phrase "Big Daddy" is incorporated in the title, this is simply a nickname given to this species of Catfish because it is the largest species of Catfish in the United States. The Blue Catfish is a member of the Ictaluridae family which is the largest group of freshwater fish that are found in North America.
