Well, hello there!

Welcome to the wonderful world of the Ramshorn snail! Hopefully your journey through this web page will leave you with a greater knowledge of this fascinating organism. There are so many interesting topics from its habitat, to the way it acquires its nutrition, and you never know, there might just be some fun facts for you to enjoy!

        H. trivolvis, or better known as the Ramshorn snail is a Gastropod in the subclass Pulmonata. It's common name comes from the fact that it has a helical shaped exoskeleton, or shell. It is also known for its use of a pulmonary sac, or primitive lung, unlike its gilled gastropod relatives. It is found throughout North America and Canada.
