The Psidium guajava, more commonly known as the apple guava, is a widely eaten tropical fruit. Though enjoyed by people by itself all over the world, in Hawaii, it's usually eaten with a sauce that's a mixture of soy sauce and vinegar and, sometimes, pepper. It is used to make many jams, jellies, and drinks.

In many cultures, guava (especially the leaves of the plant) is thought to suMango and Guava Drinkspport the heart, reduce the risk of prostate cancer, promote menstruation, lower blood sugar and pressure, and kill bacteria and fungi in the body.
