The White Rhinoceros: Ceratotherium simum

Permission from Ken Ellis (www.kodachrome.org) 2007

The White Rhinoceros is an endangered species and lives only in Africa.  They are very stocky with three hoofed toes and thick folds in their skin.  Contrary to popular belief, white rhinos are not white nor do they have much color difference to black rhinos.  The difference is in their noses.

Come on in, take a journey through this site and explore all the different things about white rhinos!
