Aurelia aurita

Aurelia aurita, commonly known as the Moon Jellyfish or simply the Common Jellyfish, are truly beautiful and fascinating creatures.  As can be assumed by one of their most well-known names, Common Jellyfish, Aurelia aurita is the most commonly seen species of jellyfish.  They can be found in the Arctic Ocean, Atlantic Ocean and Pacific Ocean but are most commonly seen on reefs and in shallow coastal waters.  Moon Jellyfish have a translucent body which can be anywhere from 25-40cm across.  Navigate this webpage to discover more of the wonders of this aquatic organism!
