Gymnopilus Spectabilis

Mushroom containing psilocybin, such as Gymnopilus Spectabilis, have been around for hundreds of years, probably before humanity.  Although it is mainly known for its hallucinogenic traits it also is undergoing some research in the medical field.  Another more recent name that taxonomist have given this species is Gymnopilus Junonius.  Even though this plant has been used as a recreational drug you should never try any mushroom found in the wild by its overall appearance because many other deadly mushrooms often are very similar.
