The Great White Shark:
Microsoft 2007 Publisher Clip ArtText Box: "There are angel sharks, goblin sharks, crocodile sharks, bramble sharks, monk sharks, carpet sharks, swell sharks, nurse sharks, silky sharks, cow sharks, bull sharks, basking sharks, frilled sharks, cat sharks, leopard sharks, dogfish, hammerheads, porbeagles, and wobbegongs, but the species that comes to mind when we think of attacks on us is the great white shark, Carcharodon carcharias."

Carcharodon carchariasText Box: The Great White shark, or sometimes better known as White Shark, White Pointer, Man-eater, ‘Jaws’ (for movie goers), or specifically Carcharodon carcharias, is one of the most ferocious creatures that resides in the oceans today. It is a massive animal that can grow to around 20 feet long, weigh approximately 5000 pounds, and will gladly eat humans if the conditions are right! With its extremely sharp and jagged teeth, to its surprisingly quick speed, the Carcharodon carcharias is not to be taken lightly! It is an extremely interesting yet dangerous creature, which definitely adds to the fun of researching it! (Bowling, 1999)
