Greetings!

This website is about a pretty cool fungus, Chlorophyllum molybdites, more commonly known as false parasol or green-false parasol. It is a poisonous mushroom that is commonly found throughout North America. On this site you will find everything you need to know about how it survives, reproduces, interacts with others, and so much more. Explore around and make sure you check out the interactions page if you are curious about its effects on humans and animals. Or check out the facts page for some sweet tips and hilarious jokes.

As I said before this mushroom is highly toxic and it should not be eaten even if it has been cooked! It can cause severe stomach upset and diarrhea, something no one enjoys. So be sure to avoid consuming these mushrooms at all cost. You can find more about what it looks like on my identification page. Keep in mind I am no expert on mushrooms and you should ask a mycologist to identify any type of mushroom and not rely on the internet. Check out MultipleOrganisms.net for other websites about a variety of organisms made by students. Otherwise, enjoy the site and learn a lot!
