Welcome!

This is a website for the terrestrial snail Millerelix fatigiata, commonly known as the Bluegrass Liptooth.

Millerelix fatigiata is a somewhat obscure snail found only in the southeastern United States. As little is known about this species (or even about the genus Millerelix), some information on this website will be relating to the more general family Polygyridae to which Millerelix belongs.

Similarly, as actual photos of Millerelix fatigiata are difficult to find, some photos may be of other snail species within Polygyridae (as is the photo to the left, courtesy of Encyclopedia of Life.)

Also, If you would like to go to the original source of any photos found on this webpage, simply click on the photo (source will open in a new window).

For more information on this or other snail species, please visit Multipleorganisms.net or UW-L's Land Snails of Wisconsin page.
