This website provides information on Patera leatherwoodi (Pratt, 1971).  This species of snail was formally known as Mesodon leatherwoodi (Pratt, 1971).  Patera leatherwoodi can also be referred to as Pedernales Oval since it was discovered on the Pedernales river in central Texas (Kaufman, 1974).
