This website is about Xestobium rufovillosum. or commonly known as the Deathwatch beetle.  The purpose of this website is to educate the public on Xestobium rufovillosum.  You will be able to find information on its classification, habitat, reproduction, interactions, and interesting facts. Physical characteristics of an adult death watch beetle is that they are 11mm long in length (Jnine pest control 2009).  The adult death watch beetle is dark brown with scattered areas of black or yellow hairs and has antennae (Swan and Papp 1972).
