Facts
Honey Pot Ant's will transport their nectar back to their
nest and regurgitate it to feed the repletes once they are
unable to move (Duncan & Lighton, 1994).
The average replete is 299 times heavier than a worker (Conway, 1990).
Some males and females leave their nests several days before nuptial
flights and become lost (Conway, 1980).
The number of queen larvae peaks in February and June (Conway, 1980).

here. Some rural Mexican’s also dig up and eat Honey ants which are
Myrmecocystus mexicanus (Evans, 2003).
