The Aetobatus narinari, most commonly known at the Spotted Eagle Ray, is one of the largest species of stingrays, out of over two hundred species that have been classified. Spotted Eagle Rays are usually found in coastal areas, worldwide. From afar, they appear similar to any other type of stingray, but up close they are distinguishable by the white markings on their backs and their grand wingspan.
