My name is Laura Jacobson, and I created this website for my organismal biology class at the University of La Crosse. I chose to create my website about the black crappie because my grandpa and I have always fished for black crappie in the lake near my grandparents’ cabin in Crosby, Minnesota. It has been very interesting to learn more about this organism in greater detail. At UW-L, I am a biology major with a cellular and molecular concentration and a spanish minor. My goal is to someday become either an orthopaedic surgeon or a physical medicine and rehabilitation doctor. I am also a member of the UW-L soccer team and enjoy fishing and hiking. Thank you for visiting my website! If you have any questions, feel free to email me at jacobson.laur@students.uwlax.edu.

A special thank you to all of the individuals and organizations that allowed me to use their photos and diagrams in my website! I could not have created this project without your help!
