Welcome to the sweet world of Lowbush Blueberries!

Welcome to the homepage of Vaccinium angustifolium, or more commonly known as, the lowbush blueberry.  Throughout this webite, I will use the two names interchangeably.

Lowbush blueberries grow throughout North America, including right here in La Crosse.  They are a prized possession for blueberry pickers and are an important commercial crop throughout North America.  Blueberries have been valued since the Native Americans used them in soups, jams, and even dyes for clothing.  Today, blueberries are considered to be a superfruit and provide numerous health benefits.
