What is that weird spiny plant you glance at as you roam through the produce section of the grocery store?

I'm sure you may wonder, as I did, how is this even edible?!

Turns out, this plant is not only delicious to eat, but also has a variety of medicinal properties! It has been documented that the Globe Artichoke (Cynara scolymus) has the ability to stimulate the flow of bile and other digestive juice, detoxify the liver, lower blood pressure, and so much more! 

Each part of this plant has its own unique qualities!

Whether it be the seeds...
