Fishing in Northern MinnesotaHi, my name is Ben Stanghelle and I am a freshman student at the University of Wisconsin - La Crosse.  Like I said on the home page, I have researched saw palmetto and made this website for a class called Organismal Biology.  Every semester the students who take this class are required to make a website about an organism of their choice. All of the websites that have been made ranging from charismatic magafauna, like a lion, to obscure parasites like Plasmodium falciparum, which causes malaria. They can be found at the website www.multipleorganisms.net.

So, now that I have told you a little bit about why I made this website, let me tell you something about me.  I love the outdoors! I love to fish, hike, backpack and travel around the country and the world. I also love sports and have grown up playing a number of different ones such as soccer, basketball, tennis and track.  Hanging out with my friends and hiking in the bluffs are some of my favorite things to do at school.

Thanks for taking the time to check out my web page and if you have any questions or comments you can contact me at stanghel.benj@uwlax.edu. Thanks also to everyone who has helped me out with this. It was a lot of work, but it has been a good experience! Have a good day!
