About Me

This is me in Rothenburg, Germany at the Criminal Museum :)

My name is Katie Martin and I'm currently a Senior at the University of Wisconsin- La Crosse. My major is Biology with a Biomedical Concentration and a minor in Chemistry. After I graduate in May, I'll be going onto chiropractic school at Palmer College of Chiropractic in Davenport, IA but not before I get married in November!

This is my cat Hobbes (like Calvin and Hobbes).
We just recently adopted him from Coulee Region Humane Society.

Anyway, I chose the Western Black Widow because the Latrodectus genus is famous for being poisonous and the females eating their mates along with the fact Western Black Widow can be found relatively close to home (aka North America). I thought they were a great 'spooky' organism and was actively interested in learning more about them!

If you have any questions for me I'd love to hear them! You can get a hold of me via     e-mail at martin.kati@uwlax.edu.

Thanks for looking!!
