 Hi! My name is Shayla Wells and I am a Sophomore at the University of Wisconsin-La Crosse majoring in Biomedical Sciences with a pre-med concentration and an intended minor in Spanish. After graduating I plan to go to medical school to pursue a career as a surgeon, practicing medicine internationally. I created this website as a semester project for my Organismal Biology course taught by Dr. Anita Baines and Dr. Gretchen Gerrish.

The theme for this semester was "spooky organisms" and the odd appearance of the rare N. sahyadrensis definitely fits this theme. I chose N. sahyadrensis because I had never heard of the organism before and after looking it up I could not help but be attracted by the odd appearance of the frog looking back at me in the online pictures. As a newly discovered species, N. sahyadrensis was a somewhat hard organism to research, however, the challenge was intriguing and taught me a lot. I would like to thank all of the kind people who allowed me to use their pictures. I am very thankful for their help in making this website a better learning material through the visual representations they provided.
