 Loxodonta cyclotis, the African forest elephant, is an essential occupant of the forests of Congo, dispersing the seeds to keep the forest populated by multiple species of trees. But the forest elephant's habitat is being threatened by the interactions of poachers, bringing them to an endangered state.  The forest elephant adapts to its environment in response to various stimuli that effects its life style like water and food availability. These elephants must complete with one another to try to adapt best to become most favorable to the opposite sex for reproduction.
