Heloderma suspectum

The Gila Monster (pronounced HEE-la) is the United States Largest lizard.  It is also the United States only Venomous lizard.  The Gila Monster can vary from 14-18 inches and 1-3 pounds at maturity.  This slow moving lizard has a life span of 20 to 30 years.
