Interesting Facts
The most interesting fun fact about this tree is that it is often used as a Christmas tree. The most recognizable example of this is, every year the country of Norway gives a large Norway Spruce to the city of New York to be used at the Rockefeller Center as a Christmas tree. The reason this tradition is carried out is because of the United States’ contributions and aid to Norway and the rest of Europe in World War II. This is also related to why I chose this organism. My family heritage is German and Norwegian, so every Christmas we celebrate by eating traditional Norwegian and German foods, and singing Norwegian songs. I felt by choosing something related to my heritage was important.
