Anisakis simplex

A Marine Parasite

About Me  Back to Home

Now that you have finally made it through all the information on Anisakis simplex, I bet you're wondering what would compel anyone to write all of that.

Well, first of all, my name is Rachel Nelson and I am a junior at the University of Wisconsin- LaCrosse. I am majoring in Biology with a Biomedical Science concentration and minoring in Chemistry, and I intend to go on to graduate school to become a physical therapist. I am taking an Organismal Biology class and, as one of our assignments, we were instructed to build a webpage on an organism of interest. I chose Anisakis simplex because of its interesting lifestyle as a parasite and the pathologies it causes. I feel that it was a unique opportunity to learn more about a somewhat obscure organism and I hope that you've found it as interesting as I have. If you have any comments or questions feel free to contact me.
