Eek! Snakes of the Sea!!!

Although they say that there are many fish in the sea, none of them are quite as fascinating as the Anguilla genus of fish. Feared and despised by many due to their snake-like form, the Anguilla have some of the most unusual characteristics of any organism on the planet. They are fish that can travel by land, battle birds of prey, and have an incredibly unique life cycle. One species in particular, Anguilla japonica, shares all of these features and also serves as a product of immense economic importance.
