(The blue dots are where you can find these octopus's on the shore)
They mostly go down to depths of fifty meters and hide under rocks and other surfaces during the day and come out at night. Moreover, they can be found close to the water's surface reefs and tide pools. In this type of habitat, the octopuses are accompanied by other organisms. These organisms include hermit crabs, crabs and other crustaceans (shrimp). They have also found this octopus to occupy Papua New Guinea, Solomon Islands, and Indonesia. You can find them as far as Sri Lanka at depths of 20 meters. This organism fits into its niche because it is not usually eaten by other animals and it keeps small animals that live in its habitat in balance. They have adapted to their living environments and how they capture their food in their environment.
