The Eurasian Water Shrew

Neomys fodiens, also known as the Eurasian water shrew, is a very interesting organism. The Eurasian water shrew is a solitary organism found along the banks of many streams and rivers in various parts of Europe and China. This organism may seem cute, but it secretes a venomous neurotoxin in its salivary glands, which helps to immobilize its prey item.
