Contact Me

Hello! My name is Rebekah Phillips and I created this website as part of my Organismal Biology course at the University of Wisconsin- La Crosse. I am currently completing my fourth semester as a Biomedical Science major and Chemistry minor. I have had a large interest in math and biology for most of my life, but these interests really took hold through my amazing high school biology teacher Jonel Fritsch. I am also an active member of the biology club here in La Crosse. The thing I probably like most about this field is the huge amount of concepts and information it encompasses. To excel in biology you need to understand mathematics, physics, chemistry, and kinesthetics.
I grew up near the small town of Luxemburg Wisconsin, about 30 minutes northeast of Green Bay (Go Packers!). Reading is one of my favorite hobbies, closely followed by my love of music. I’ve been able to take music with me wherever I go, as I currently play violin in the University Orchestra. I also get to play piano/violin at weddings and other special events with my family as part of the group Celebratory Strings. I hope to continue on to graduate school to eventually become a physical therapist. If you have any questions, comments or concerns please feel free to contact me at phillips.reb2@uwlax.edu. I hope you enjoyed my website on Aesculus hippocastanum!
