European Spider of the Year 2012
The European Cave Spider, properly known as
Meta menardi is found in the
northern hemisphere from northern Europe to Korea and also parts of northern Africa
(Lepore et al. 2012). This large cave spider is one of the
many species of long-jawed orb weaving spiders found throughout
the world and especially in Europe (ESA 2012). We
have put together information from numerous sources to provide you with
as much knowledge as we could about this amazing spider.
