My name is Keaton Unrein and I am the creator of this site. I created this page as a project for my Organismal Biology class at my college, the University of Wisconsin, La-Crosse. Under the isntruction of Dr. Thomas Volk and Dr. Eric Snively, my proffesors for this class, I researched and presented information that I learned about this organism. the Rhinoplax vigil. I want to start out by thanking them for this wonderful learning opportunity; as well as, for the neverending guidance and feedback that came as this site was constructed.

I am currently studying at the University of Wisconsin La-Crosse in hopes of obtaing a major in Biology with a Biomedical concentration, a Chemistry minor, and a minor in spanish. My goal is to go to medical school and to eventually study to be a pediatrician. With this I hope to move to South America (most likely Brazil) and practive medicine there.

What initially attracted me to the Helmeted Hornbill was the sort of dueling that occurs between males as you can read about here. I found this sort of behavior very interesting and I desired to learn more about such an interesting organism. I hope you found the same fascination in this wonderful bird and that learned something new along the way. If you are looking for more information on these hornbills and the many topics that surround it please feel free to check out this website
