Facts

~In 1864, a scientist by the last name of Moarse found a Discus cronkhitei in Maine that was "perfectly white."  This albino snail had a mutation that prevented it from making it's natural brown colors (Pilsbry, 1939-1948).

~It would take about five and a half days for a snail to travel one mile.

~The eyes of snails are located on the tentacles sticking out of their head.
