Reproduction

There is no information found on the species or genus reproductive processes so the subclass information is provided.  The subclass Pulmonata are monoecious or hermaphroditic, which means that one individual has both reproductive organs (male and female) (Michigan Natural Features Inventory).  Even though each snail has both sets of organs they cross-fertilize, exchange sperm, with another snail which is characterized as internal fertilization (Michigan Natural Features Inventory).  The process can take several hours and after two week each lay a large group of eggs which is called oviparity (Michigan Natural Features Inventory).
