Learning about land snails!

When you go on a nature hike you may notice the birds flying above you or the deer hiding in the brush, but have you ever thought about the fact that there are tiny creatures living underfoot?

Vertigo morsei (Sterki, 1894) is one of many terrestrial snails.  It fills an important ecological niche; however, there is still little knownPerez snail about this fascinating but endangered being.
