Reproduction
The Ramshorn Snail has an interesting and complex reproductive system in that they are hermaphrodites, meaning both sexes are present, and they can either fertilize, or be fertilized. Although they're hermaphroditic, they undergo copulation to reproduce. An organ called the ovotestis, located in the visceral hump, produces both egg and sperm. They are both then passed along the hermaphroditic duct. The egg and sperm then separate and travel down separate channels toward their destinations. Eggs are laid in clusters.
