sanus 

Sanus is the specific epithet of the species in the genus Mesodon.  The coloration of this species is yellow with some red pigment on the whorl of the shell (Pilsbry, 1940).  The external appearance of the shell is glossy and smooth with spiraled segments (Pilsbry, 1940).
