Euchemotrema fasciatum, or more commonly known as the Mountain Pillsnail, resides in areas in the southeastern United States. Pictured above are the shells of its close relative Euchemotrema fraternum. The Mountain Pillsnail is an integral part of its mountainous ecosystem and can even be used to determine the quality of its surrounding habitat!
