Kronosaurus queenlandicus was strictly carniverous, all teeth that have been found are for
catching and holding prey (Renneboog, 2011). No teeth have been discovered that suggest
Kronosaurus ate any type of
vegetation! In fact, the teeth had
evolved for tearing huge chunks of flesh
off prey rather than chewing (Everhart,
2009). Kronosaurus' teeth also were
structured well for crushing shells of
animals such as sea turtles (Renneboog,
2011).
See our interactions page for more information about their interactions with their prey.
