Endangerment
The Green Humphead Parrotfish is listed as vulnerable on the
IUCN Red List (Encyclopedia of Life 2009). You can view

laws in place to specifically portect the humphead parrotfish,
but some areas have limits on night spear fishing as well as
spear fishing with compresses air, such as CO2 tanks (Arkive
2008). There are also Marine Protected Areas, where fishing is
not permitted to protect the marine organisms in that area
(Arkive 2008).
