Habitat

The spiny backed spider is most abundant in the fall and found closest in the central and southern regions of the United States. Also, they can be found in Jamaica and Cuba. These habitats consist of woodlands, shrubs, and citrus groves. Therefore, the preferred temperature is all around warm, where there are hot summers and very mild winters.

Its predators include Phalacrotophora epeirae (fly) and Arachnophago ferruginea (spider). These organisms prey on the eggs that are enclosed in the web case made by the mother.
