What about you?!
Hello everyone! My name is Allison Fisher and I'm currently a freshman at the University of Wisconsin- La Crosse (click here to visit the UW-L website). Although I am transferring to the University of Wisconsin- Milwaukee in the fall, I am continuing my studies to be a Biology major in hopes of becoming a dentist in the near future. I'm from the city of Oshkosh, WI, and in my free time I enjoy taking pictures, snowboarding, swimming at the Red Granite quarry, stargazing, drawing, hanging out with friends and traveling anywhere I can. An interesting fact about myself is that I have been vegetarian since 2009 and plan on keeping it that way!
I chose to do my website on the whooping crane for a few particular reasons, one of them being that I am an avid birdwatcher, an interest that must have been passed to me from my grandmother. Although I have not gotten the luck to see whooping cranes in the wild, I hope that sometime in my life I happen to come across their path. Another reason I chose the whooping crane is because I knew of their endangerment and I am very passionate about the conservation of all species of animals. I hope that in making this website, more people gain the knowledge of these beautiful creatures and help to save them.
If you have any questions about my website, feel free to contact me by e-mail at fisher.all2@students.uwlax.edu. If you do not get a response from me from that address, my new school e-mail address (of May 2010) will be: anfisher@uwm.edu.
