My name is Eric Smits and I am currently a freshman at the University of Wisconsin-La Crosse and did this webpage as part of my Bio 203 class. I am majoring in Biology with a biomedical concentration and a minor in nutrition. I chose the Northern Pintail because I grew up with two pet ducks that my brother named Hassenanrebencompen and Hooden. Although I am not sure what species they were, I still have a great interest in ducks.

Although I am majoring in biology, my greatest interest here at school is track and field. I run middle distance for the UWL track team and plan on running well after I leave school. I graduated from De Pere High School in 2009 where I competed on the track and cross country teams, along with being in the bowling club. I even managed to break the school record in the 800 there. Along with running, I enjoy going to my cabin with my family to go tubing and kayaking. To make sure that I can stay in school I work at the Packer Pro Shop in Lambeau Field during the summer.
