My name is Allie Steder and I am a student at the University of Wisconsin- La Crosse. I am a Biomedical student with an emphasis on Pre Dentistry. After I graduate from UWL I plan on attending Marquette Dental School in Milwaukee, Wisconsin or returning to my home state to attend Colorado State University in Fort Collins. Aside from my studies my family and friends are the main focus in my life.

    As a part of my Biology 203 class we were asked to design a webpage on an organism of our choice. The purpose of the webpage is to present research and information about the organism as a source of reference for anyone who visits my page. I was interested in learning more about Gavia immer because I have had the pleasure of witnessing the beautiful bird at my lake house in St. Germain, Wisconsin. They are such interesting creatures and remind me of the time I have spent with my family and friends “Up North”.
