Facts

B. procyonis interacts with a wide number of things from raccoons who are their definitive host, to the environment where B. procyonis eggs can last years, to small mammals that the larvae can cause infection and even death, and then all the way to humans that ingest the eggs and cause such large amount of pathology.  These may just be a few things that B. procyonis interacts with but they are large enough and important enough to rise an eyebrow to or cause concern.
