Plakortis simplex

 

Habitat

Plakortis simplex is a marine organism found primarily throughout the Atlantic Ocean.  The organism can be found anywhere from a region of water closest to the shore to the bottom of the ocean floor.  However, living in this environment, it shares its habit with a diversity of organisms.  This list of organisms includes simple microscopic organisms like bacteria to large complex organisms such as whales.  Plakortis simplex is immobile as an adult and spends its life fixed to a substrate.
