  • Oregonia gracilis: In Latin "Orego" means to stretch or reach and "gracilis" means slender.

 

  • The graceful decorator crab can be found anywhere from 1,500 feet underneath the surface all the way up to the shore.

 

  • These crabs use other organisms and wave them back and forth to warn predators off.

 

  • These crabs secrete glue-like substance from their mouth to attach organisms and resources to their backs with this secretion

 

  • Graceful decorator crabs have bristles all over their body which they can sense everything around them as if they had eyes all over.
