"I come from a land down under"

The frilled neck lizard is native to northern Australia and is also found in the southern parts of New Guinea. The frill neck resides in the grassy woods and sclerophyll forests. The frilled neck spends most of its days up in the trees. However, the frilled necks are hard to spot due to their highly evolved camouflage. The frilled necks are not particular to the type of tree they reside in. Other lizards are found at the tops of the canopy, so the frilled necks are usually found lower on the trees. The frilled neck is very defensive of its territory, and will go to great extents to defend it. To learn how the frilled neck interacts and adapts to its environment, follow me to adaptations!
