GENUS - Equus
In Latin, Equus means horse or steed. Zebras are included in this category because they live in herds or bands. There are three main species of zebras: Plains zebra Equus quagga , Mountain zebra Equus zebra, and Grevy's zebra Equus grevyi. They all have black and white stripes that set them apart from other Equidaes.
SPECIES - Equus grevyi
Grevy's zebra is the largest of the zebras and has the narrowest stripes.
