Hi! My name is Liana Reiland and I am
a freshman at the
University of Wisconsin - La Crosse. I am majoring in Biology with a
Bio-medical science concentration and a Chemistry minor. I am not
positive what I will do after I graduate, but am currently thinking of
going to chiropractic school. Coming from a fairly medical family, I have always known that I wanted to pursue a career in that general area. I have always loved the sciences, and have especially enjoyed biology, which lead me to taking Organismal Biology which Dr. Sandland and Dr. Volk. For this course, we were asked to choose an organism, research it, and make a website. I chose Apteryx Haastii because a friend of mine went to New Zealand and told me how cool of a bird it was. I am originally from Durand, WI, a small town in west-central Wisconsin, so I love the "small town" feel of the UW- La Crosse campus. In my spare time, I love to read, watch movies, play volleyball, travel, and just hang out with friends. I also love basically everything outdoors including hiking, camping, and boating.
