Pale-throated three-toed sloths live mostly in the rainforests of northern South America. Most of the Bradypus tridactylus are located in from eastern Venezuela to north eastern parts of Brazil. However, Bradypus tridactylus have also been found outside of this range. Bradypus tridactylus live high up in the canopies of the rainforest and rarely come down. Sloths leave the canopy only to urinate, defecate, or go to a new tree.
